A Greater Monster

I recently had a chance to work with one of the most outlandish authors I have ever met, David David Katzman. I did the cover and interior layout of his new psychedelic fairytale, A Greater Monster. It was a long, strange journey, but in the end was well worth it.

The protagonist is an ad exec in Chicago, who takes a strange hallucinogenic drug from a homeless man. This in turn shatters his mind causing him to slip into another reality filled with strange places and creatures. With the cover I wanted to reflect the characters in this world, and how they related to the protagonist’s perception. So the face is made up entirely of characters from throughout the book.
